Beau Vallon Best time to stay

31 Aug 2022

When is the best time to stay at Beau Vallon?

The Seychelles enjoy an equatorial, tropical climate. An average 8 hours of sunshine, temperature of 29 degrees with hot, sunny days and warm crystal-clear waters make Seychelles a year-round destination.

With it's protected setting north-west of Mahé, the bay of Beau Vallon is an all year round area, therefore always a good choice. For a perfect beach holiday, the best time is from February to November.
The rainiest months are usually December and January.

The weather in Seychelles is influenced by 2 main tradewinds, the south-east and north-west.

SE : May to September
Generally drier, breezier, slightly cooler months. Due to the wind, visibility is not as clear and the sea can be rough in some areas located south-east.
Beau Vallon is calm during these months. Ideal for swimming, hiking and weddings.

NW : December to February
Rain showers are more common during these months, with higher humidity. The showers are usually short-lived, with a sunny spot and calms waters to be found somewhere on the island.
Beau Vallon can have some days of slightly choppier, but still warm waters; generally safe for swimming.

March, April, October & November are when the winds change over and it can feel hotter, as there is less breeze. Due to which, this is also when underwater visibility is high.
Perfect for swimming, snorkelling and boat trips.
