A very warm welcome to Panorama Guesthouse & Apartments!

Welcome to Beau Vallon Beach. Mahe's most famous beach, a 3km stretch of white sand, with warm waters for swimming year round. 

Our Services

Internet Access

Free Wifi is provided on the veranda for browsing, accessible from all accommodation.

For work, streaming or downloading, we can arrange an additional individual modem @ Scr 500 per 10Gb on request.

Cleaning Service

Your Queen Room or Apartment is serviced daily (provided it is vacant by 12pm). After every 3rd night stay, we change all linen and towels. Should you require a daily change or any additional cleaning services or amenities, please inform us. May we ask that you leave all glass, drink cans and plastic bottles just outside of your bin, as we collect these to recycle.


Our rates are on room only basis. We offer a basic continental breakfast on the verandah from 8am to 10am @ EUR 15 per person juice, coffee or tea, fruit, toast with butter & jam. This can be booked in house. 


We provide drinking water in your glass bottle daily. Tap water meets WHO specifications.


We offer laundry service of washing & ironing @ EUR 5 a piece. Please hand laundry to housekeeping staff by 10am for return by 10am the next morning.


We offer printing service black & white one-sided @ EUR 1 for 2 pages (minimum cost).


Check-in time is from 12pm. Please provided us with your estimated arrival time at time of booking. If earlier than midday, we try our best to have your accommodation ready as close to your arrival time as possible for which the day room rate applies. To guarantee your early check-in or late departure, it is best to book an additional night. Check-out time is 10am. There are no left-luggage facilities. Day room can only be arranged on arrival or the night before departure subject to availability

Day room (1 to 8 hours) 

Day room, means use of the same room prior to check-in time or post check-out time. Rates are below for 1 to 4 hours:

There is a snorkelling site 50 meters to the right at sea, heading towards the Mare Anglaise rocks. Our marine life is famous for the variety of fish with regular turtle sightings. Snorkelling equipment can be purchased nearby, or in Victoria at cheaper prices if available (Hospitality Supplies stock Cressi).

Public Bus

There is a bus stop 15 meters on the right hand side on exiting the guesthouse. Buses run every 30 minutes to Victoria. From there you can connect to other parts of the Island. Service commences early morning up to early evening 7pm. Sunday bus is less frequent as Victoria is closed on Sundays. Buses do not permit suitcases or bulky baggage. One way is Scr 12 (less than Euro 1). Small local change is the preferred for payment direct to the driver.

Beau Vallon Centre is 700m walk to the left of Panorama. Walk along the beach to Coral Strand Hotel, then follow the road inland. Right & up at the junction and you are at the centre.

Car Hire & Taxi Transfers

Please inform us if you wish to hire a car from Euro 55 per day including unlimited mileage, excluding insurance Euro 5 - 10 per day. For car hire you need credit card or cash deposit for guarantee of vehicle (first excess Euro 750-1200 and valid driving licence).

Book a taxi @ Euro 30 to Port, @ Euro 50 to Airport (max 3 persons with luggage). For arrivals, the driver has your name on a paper. All payments are direct to the service provider.

House Rules

Guests Only

Rooms are for the use of registered guests only. Entertaining of visitors in any of our accommodation is NOT permitted. Visitors are required to use the Public Areas only. We reserve the Right of Admission.

Non-Smoking Accommodation       

Smoking is only permitted in the front garden.


A laptop safe is available in all accommodation. Please ensure your valuables are in safe keeping.

Electrical Appliances & Aircon

Voltage 240 A/C 50 Hz, three pin plug (British). We have Adapters for 2-pin plugs. 

Please switch OFF all air-conditioning units and fans before you leave your Room or Apartment.
Please keep the door/s and window/s closed when the aircon is on


On your return from the beach, please use the garden tap to remove sand.

Wet Costumes & Beach Towels

We have drying lines outside for wet costumes & beach towels. We move these to a covered area in the evening in case of rain. Please do not hang wet items on the windows or furniture.

We have beach towels if needed @ Scr 50 per towel/per stay. These are not washed daily but put out to dry on the lines in the sun and reused. You are NOT premitted to take the white shower towels from your room to the beach. 

Apartments have a portable clothes hanging station for items that are washed in the washing machine. Please do not wash beach towels or any item with sand in the washing machine as this damages the machine. Please hand beach towels to us to wash in a designated machine.


Any music or noise should only be heard by you in your room, not disturbing other guests. No parties/events are permitted.

Front Gate Access

The Front Gate is kept shut during the day. There is a pedestrian gate in the middle. The gate is locked at night. You have a key for your accommodation and a key for the gate. Please keep your keys safely and hand them back to management on check-out.


We have security sensors that are switched on after 10pm on the property. Please close Apartment windows before sleeping. If you can, inform Management if you plan to return late. Also if you are heading on a hike, where you are going incase we need to alert authorities if you get lost in the mountains.


Any extras or damage/breakage must be settled the evening prior to departure. Please inform us if you have damaged anything in our accommodation.


Any extras, additional Wifi or breakage/damage to be settled the night before departure. For smaller amounts less than € 50, please settle in cash Rupees or Euro.

 Due to COVID19 our indoor services including Restaurant, Bar, TV lounge access & Library is currently limited. 

Closer to Nature

Even as a small business, we feel we can make a difference. As such we ask that you:

  1. Ensure that you please switch OFF all air-conditioning units and fans before you leave your Room or Apartment. Please keep the door/s and window/s closed when the aircon is on, when you are inside.

  2. Please leave all glass and plastic bottles as well as drink cans outside of your bin, as we collect these to send to the recycle station.

Closer to Community

We support our community by sharing service provision with licenced operators such as transfers with taxi drivers and excursions, as well as buying local. By staying with us, you are directly supporting our community thank you! Please feel free to tip our staff for great service.
