Welcome to Beau Vallon Beach. Mahe's most famous beach, a 3km stretch of white sand and warm, turquoise waters for swimming year round.

SERVICES



Check-in/Check-out

Please provide us with your estimated arrival time at time of booking. 

Check-in time is from 12pm (most places is 2pm)

For Early check-in 7h30 up to 12h00, there are 2 options:

1. Guaranteed early check-in: Book an additional night
2. Not Guaranteed until 24 hours prior to arrival: Day room subject-to-availability

Access to the property is only from 7.30am when our staff arrive. If your flight arrives earlier, you will have to wait at the airport until 7.15am. There is a coffee shop there, open early morning for your convenience. 

Check-out time is 10am. For late departures and/or left luggage, there are 2 options:

1.  Day room, subject-to-availability, confirmed the night before departure
2.  Left luggage facilities at the Airport, with free showers

Day room 

Day room, means use of the same room prior to check-in time or post check-out time. This can only be confirmed 24 hours prior. Here are the rates, subject-to-availability:

Snorkelling 

There is a snorkelling site 50 meters to the right at sea with entry at the buoy, heading towards the Mare Anglaise rocks. Our marine life is famous for the variety of fish, with regular turtle sightings amongst all the other amazing creatures that live in our clean ocean. Snorkelling equipment can be purchased nearby, or in Victoria at cheaper prices if available (Hospitality Supplies stock Cressi). You may only look and not touch or remove any shells, corals etc, this is forbidden. Learn more here...

Public Bus

There is a bus stop 15 meters on the right hand side on exiting the guesthouse. Buses run every 30 minutes to Victoria. From there you can connect to other parts of the Island. Service commences early morning up to early evening 7pm. Sunday bus is less frequent as Victoria is closed on Sundays. Buses do not permit suitcases or bulky baggage. One way is Scr 12 (less than EUR 1). From 1 July 2023, a bus pass is required to board (no cash). Please check with Reception for options.

Beau Vallon Centre

Beau Vallon Centre is 700m walk to the left of Panorama. Walk along the beach to Mahek Indian Restaurant, then follow the road inland. Right & up at the junction and you are at the centre.

Payment

VISA and MASTERCARD accepted for amounts over EUR 50. CASH payment EUR (do not accept 500 notes), or equivalent local currency Scr or US Dollars after 2009 issue. Extras prepay in CASH.

Water

We provide free drinking water in your glass bottle daily. Tap water meets WHO specifications. Additional refill can be requested @ Scr 25.

Child Policy

Due to our elevation and open spaces, for safety reasons we have a child policy of 12 years+. We can consider older children 7 years+ on request basis.

Reception Hours from 8.30am to 10am daily Management is available to assist you.
The hosts whatsapp number is provided if you require assistance outside of these hours.  

HOUSE RULES

Guests Only

Rooms are for the use of registered guests only. Entertaining of visitors or others luggage in any of our accommodation is NOT permitted. Visitors are required to use the Public Areas only. We reserve the Right of Admission.

Non-Smoking Accommodation       

Smoking is only permitted in the front garden (open air).

Safe

A laptop safe is available in all accommodation. Please ensure your valuables are in safe keeping.

Conscious Aircon Usage

We have a conscious aircon usage policy: Ensure that you please switch OFF all air-conditioning units and fans before you leave your Room or Apartment. Keep the door/s and window/s closed when the aircon is on, when you are inside. For health, the best temperature is between 25 to 27 degrees celsius.

Sand

On your return from the beach, please use the garden tap to remove sand. Any items with sand must be left outside your room or apartment or handed to Management for laundry service. Please do NOT wash beach towels or any item with sand in the washing machine, as sand damages the machine, which will be payable. Please hand any items with sand to us to wash in a designated machine.

Wet Costumes & Beach Towels

We have drying lines outside for wet costumes & beach towels. We move these to a covered area in the evening in case of rain. Please do not hang any wet items on the windows or furniture.

Apartments have a portable clothes drying station for items that are washed in the washing machine. Queen rooms have use of a smaller drying rack on request. 

Quiet Hours

Guests need be quiet between 10PM and 9AM. Any music or noise should only be heard by you in your room, not disturbing other guests at any time please. No parties/events are permitted.

Front Gate Access

The Front Gate is kept shut during the day. There is a pedestrian gate in the middle. The gate is locked at night. You have a key for your accommodation and a key for the gate. Please keep your keys safely and hand them back to management on check-out.

Security

Please leave all your valuables in safe keeping. Windows and doors should be shut and locked at night before sleeping. We have security sensors that are switched on after 10pm on the property. If you can, inform Management if you plan to return late. Also if you are heading on a hike, where you are going incase we need to alert authorities if you get lost. For security reasons, we do not permit storage of luggage nor use of another guest's unit, outside of the one/s booked by the guest.

Fresh Whole Fish NOT permitted

You are NOT permitted to bring fresh whole fish into the Apartment. The fish has to be degutted on the beach or at the outside sink at a small fee. You have to present the whole fish to the Management to ensure that it is wrapped correctly before going into the Apartment. If this is not respected, we will charge a deep cleaning fee below for any fish remains, juices and/or odor in the Apartment. For your convenience, you can buy fresh fillet fish at excellent prices at STC Hypermarket in Victoria.

Fresh Coconuts outdoors only

Coconut water stains furniture and clothing. We recommend you consume this on the beach. If coconuts are brought up, they have to be consumed outside in the front garden or terrace only.

Deep Cleaning Fee post departure

We reserve the right to charge up to EUR 1000 deep cleaning fee post departure as required. This includes fish as stated above, excess sand and/or Apartment left in a dirty condition requiring it to go out of service for however many days affected.

Use of Candles or open flame objects NOT permitted

For safety reasons we do NOT permit the use of any candles or any open flame objects in our Apartments.

Loss & Damage

Please inform us if you have damaged anything in our accommodation, the cost of which is payable, at lastest the night before departure. We reserve the right to charge a fee post departure for any damages not notified or missing items.

All extras should be prepaid in CASH please

 Indoor services including Bar & Library is currently limited.

CLOSER TO NATURE

Even as a small business, we feel we can make a difference. We continue to do our part to move closer to nature. As such we ask that you:

  1. Ensure that you please switch OFF all air-conditioning units and fans before you leave your Room or Apartment. Please keep the door/s and window/s closed when the aircon is on, when you are inside.

  2. Please leave all glass and plastic bottles as well as drink cans outside of your bin, as we collect these to send to the recycle station.

Closer to Community

We don't try to do it all! We believe in sharing service provision with other small businesses such as transfers, excursions, food and beverage, as well as buying local. By staying with us, you are directly supporting our community thank you!
